From perishable food to pharmaceutical to medical products, cold chain monitoring is already a must in certain items and a clear trend in a lot of them.
Being able to tell if a blood bag for blood transfer has been out of its temperature range at any point during its inventory and transportation is critical for a successful medical activity. The same applies for drugs to be used or perishable food retailing.
How it works
Wireless and battery-free temperature sensors tags are attached to key assets. Based on the specific application and environment, a fixed reader or a handheld will collect the information from the sensor and transmit it to a database.
A piece of software will display the status of the assets highlighting any values out of the norm and sending alarms to key personnel when specific temperature values have been trespassed so that personnel can act accordingly on time.
