The School of Engineering of San Sebastián, of the University of Navarra, aims to contribute to the professional, scientific and human education of prospective engineers. From her inception, our School has striven to strike a balance between teaching, research and service to society, making these activities complementary to each other.

As part of their promotion activities, TECNUN is interested in using wireless communication systems together with applications for SmartPhones. The idea is to show future students what the potential of people who get the Engineering in Telecommunications Systems title is.

FARSENS, in collaboration with AKTING, has developed an application for Android and iPhone with an interactive game to grow the interest of the attendees to the promotion events. The game is designed as a strength monitoring game, simulating the typical hammer fair game. It is based on a small wireless sensor network implementing Bluetooth Low Energy. Players use a small device with sensing capabilities and simulate using the hammer. The game will show them the strength value from 1 to 100 in an Android SmartPhone.

Moreover, an Engineering affinity test has been included in the application. This test allows the user to understand which ones of the different engineering degrees offered by TECNUN is a better match for their interests.
