The Centro de Estudios e Investigaciones Técnicas de Guipúzcoa research centre has managed to join university and entrepreneurship. By supporting the entrepreneurs with finance, time and material resources they have created 12 technology companies since 1996, creating some 300 jobs for highly skilled professionals. Their last creation, FARSENS, a company specialised in design and manufacturing of long range passive RFID sensors.
